In my quest to re-watch Thor, I stumbled across this: Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow. Did this manage to slide under everyone’s radars?
“Years after the Avengers made the ultimate sacrifice while battling invincible robo-villain Ultron, the teenage children of Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, Wasp and Hawkeye must band together to locate the missing Hulk.”
It is unclear who had kids with who on the actual team… and also, nope, no kids for Tony Stark. So sad…
It looks debatable, but on a rainy boring day? Could be fun…
Reblogging myself because… I selfishly think nobody really saw this the first time around (a year and a half ago) when I was apparently nerdy in a cuter, silly way than I am now.
Also, do you guys remember Marvel’s “Girl Comics”? There were like 4 issues, I think? They’re pretty cool.
In Marvel’s “Girl Comics #2” published this year, Abby Denson and Emma Vieceli did a two page spread called “Ad Vice.” Starring Mary Jane Watson, it imagines how some of the male heroes in the Marvel universe might sound written up as personal ads. The result is very amusing.
Recently I wondered if anyone had done something similar for some of the main players of the DCU: stalwart champions Batman and Superman. Disarmingly dorky Clark Kent and swanky Bruce Wayne would both make a pretty good date, I dare say, but how would one spend an evening on the town with the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight?
* * *
Superman would pick you up at your door. And he would knock, flowers in hand. The flowers might be from another planet, but odds are they would make a lovely glowing addition to your coffee table.
Batman would have a better ride—if you’re into that sort of thing. He would set a meeting time and location and then be there 10 minutes early to make sure no one sketchy is stalking you. Other than him, of course.

According to the Game Fanatics website, an actor named James Badge Dale (24, Shame, The Grey) is donning this version of the Iron Man armor. The one of which good ol’ Captain America would totally be a fan…
… which is sort of the whole point of Iron Patriot. The armor was worn by Norman Osborn (yep) when Tony Stark, then the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. (oh yeah), was ousted and Osborn and his organization filled the power vacuum. Iron Patriot was meant to replace both Iron Man and Cap and so symbolically it does just that.
Anyway, this will be really interesting to do because technically don’t Spidey and his associated characters still partially belong to Columbia Pictures? How you going to pull this one off, Marvel?
But I would like to take this opportunity to once more applaud Marvel’s quest for continuity and overlap when it comes to their stories, media, and marketing. I realized today (with much flipping out) that they are re-airing the 2011-2012 second season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures and that it apparently features very movie-verse looking versions of Hawkeye and Black Widow. Not only that but the episode that I recorded today (have yet to watch) promises to feature a mutant. Inner universe crossover! (*freaking out a little*)
Okay, so that and the success of the Avengers and this upcoming tease of Spider-man characters, Skrull and/or perhaps Civil War type stuff and—wow—Marvel you are kind of winning me over.

I forgot to post this earlier!
The story’s a bit old now but adorable. Take this, plus what Mark Waid said recently in an interview,—no matter how realistic one is or how seriously one treats the characters, a superhero story is ultimately a bit biased toward being hopeful—and it just makes me smile a little.
Face it, these kinds of stories are essentially build around the idea that there are such things as heroes and that they are worth aspiring to be—or at least to be like.
So yeah, superheroes; don’t knock ‘em until you’ve tried ‘em.
(I think a little bit of Cap rubbed off on me tonight.)
Wow. Plus, like, a thousand points to Marvel for setting up a major gay, multiracial wedding in the future of their universe!
Come on DC, don’t let us down! I hope that whoever is coming out soon in the DCU is a good choice…
Congrats Jean-Paul (Northstar) and Kyle!
Here are a select few photos of Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch and Steven Moffat visiting Marvel Comics HQ in NYC. We chose these as we felt they would be the most “Tumblr-approved” photos in the lot. Want more? Head over to Agent M’s marvel.com blog to see all 31 photos of Benedict Cumberbatch, Steven Moffat & Sue Vertue at Marvel HQ. And a little more info from Agent M:
A few short weeks ago, I had the pleasure of giving a Marvel HQ tour to some of the amazing folks behind the TV show “Sherlock”: star Benedict Cumberbatch and Executive Producers Steven Moffat & Sue Vertue. They were incredibly nice and it was a great visit. Much like when Danny Pudi visited Marvel, Benedict, Steven and Sue found themselves surrounded by fans at Marvel—even signging DVDs for AMAZING SPIDER-MAN writer Dan Slott!
I also enlisted the help of Marvel Comics editors Nick Lowe and Jeanine Schaefer to record an episode of our This Week in Marvel podcast with the “Sherlock” crew. That episode will go live on Tuesday, May 22 and you can download it on Marvel.com, iTunes or Zune.
The “Sherlock” U.S. finale airs Sunday, May 20 at 9 p.m. on Masterpiece on PBS. You can also stream episodes of “Sherlock” for a limited time at pbs.org/sherlock. Check out Masterpiece on Facebook and Twitter (#SherlockPBS), and follow @Steven_Moffat and @SueVertue on Twitter. To find out if Benedict Cumberbatch has an official Twitter account, you’ll have to listen to the podcast when it’s available. :)

Well ? Did he change his mind ?
WHAT!?!?!?!?
…I remain skeptical.
More false advertising. I doubt Benedict will EVER get twitter. We all know that. Just shush, Marvel.
